Beginning Again

It’s important for me to start by saying I don’t claim any identities or categorizations put on me by the system.

I made mistakes early on in my life. I have taken full responsibility for my wrongs and accept the consequences. And I have spent every day over the past two decades bettering and transforming Self, land, community and the ecosystems that sustain us.

I came into the system as a lost and troubled child. And, through self-determination, independence and sincere commitment to all the things I’m passionate about and dedicated to, I was able to actualize within myself. I learned that I am a farmer, teacher, creator, visionary, community organizer and leader.

Prison is just where I’m positioned at the moment.

The current circumstances around my life are temporary. None are indicative of who I am as a man. Nor do these have any influence on how I show up in this world.

This is why it is my daily mission to live up to my full potential. Because one day – soon – this chapter of my life will be closed. And my fate will be solely dependent on me staying the course and continuing to live up to this potential every single day that I’m back out in the free world again.

As I welcome you into my life, all I ask that we never allow my past mistakes / imprisonment / lived experiences to ever define ME or to ever become greater than my freedom.

My vision.

My future.

My Purpose.
